Numerical approaches towards life cycle interpretation: five examples
نویسندگان
چکیده
The ISO-standard for LCA distinguishes four phases, of which the last one, the interpretation, is the least elaborated one. It can be regarded as containing procedural steps (like a completeness check) as well as numerical steps (like a sensitivity check). This paper gives five examples of techniques that can be used for the numerical steps. These are the contribution analysis, the perturbation analysis, the uncertainty analysis, the comparative analysis, and the discernibility analysis. All five techniques are described at a non-technical level with respect to basic concept, possibilities, tabular and graphical representation, restriction and warnings, and all are illustrated with a simple example.

Integrated Competitive Pricing and Transshipment Problem for Short Life Cycle Products’ Supply Chain
This paper integrates competitive pricing and network design problems for the short life cycle products. The pricing problem determines selling prices of the products for different life cycle phases in a competitive market, as well as acquisition management of returned products. Besides, the selling and acquisition prices are related to the distance between distribution centers and customers. T...
متن کاملReview of Life-Cycle Approaches Coupled with Data Envelopment Analysis: Launching the CFP + DEA Method for Energy Policy Making
Life-cycle (LC) approaches play a significant role in energy policy making to determine the environmental impacts associated with the choice of energy source. Data envelopment analysis (DEA) can be combined with LC approaches to provide quantitative benchmarks that orientate the performance of energy systems towards environmental sustainability, with different implications depending on the sele...

Abstract Today, due to the rapid growth of population, development of the construction industry is a necessity. All around the world, new subjects such as sustainable development, environmental pollution, conservation of resources, and reduction of CO2 emission have become the most important research topics among the scientific societies. In recent years, especially after 1997, new tools were i...
متن کاملAn EPQ Model for Product Life Cycle (Maturity Stage) with Deteriorating Items and Shortages
A product life cycle is the life span of a product in which the period begins with the initial product specification and ends with the withdrawal from the market of both the product and its support. A product life cycle can be divided into several stages characterized by the revenue generated by the product. This study investigates inventory control policies in a manufacturing system for a si...
متن کاملTowards facilitating circular product life-cycle information flow via remanufacturing
In order to achieve a sustainable development, circular economy approaches and circular material flows are explored in industry. However, circular information flows remain essentially unestablished. The aim of this paper is to: 1) explore categories and types of product life-cycle information available for remanufacturing; 2) identify constraints for efficient product life-cycle information flo...
